The Launch Trailer ("Trailer 3")

Many outlets call it Trailer 3, but Rockstar's name is the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer. It was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5 and features "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

Justice also composed the game's original score. The trailer ends with "Grand Theft Auto VI arrives November 19." Learn more about the music on our GTA 6 radio page.

An Extended Look on Netflix

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premiered on Netflix on August 27, 2026, then came to YouTube and the official site. It runs about 27 minutes and was captured on a base PS5.

Netflix reported 31.1 million views in its first week, putting it at number one on its global English Films chart. It was the first long look at gameplay, showing Jason and Lucia on jobs across Leonida.

Trailer 2 and Its Record

Trailer 2 arrived on May 6, 2025. Rockstar says it was "captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes," and it uses "Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters.

Rockstar told The Hollywood Reporter that it drew more than 475 million views across platforms in its first 24 hours. The same day, Rockstar revealed the cast, including Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.

Trailer 1: The Reveal

Trailer 1 premiered on December 4, 2023, after leaking online shortly before its scheduled time. It introduced Vice City, Leonida and Lucia, set to Tom Petty's "Love Is A Long Road."

It drew about 93 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours, which YouTube called the most-viewed trailer launch in its history. It has since passed 300 million views.
